Old Playground Furniture: how to play

After the news of the possible reopening of Luneur, history Roman carnival, proved even more interesting to come across this Flickr group dedicated to the old playground equipment.

The eye falls on the influence of age themes such as space travel or nature anthropomorphized Disney. The taste of the nostalgic patina of neglect, causes an even greater participation. As for design, evolution is obvious. It starts with simple elements and use of wood is passed to the metal, then plastic. The forms are first squadratissime and ‘poor’, then softer, exaggerated, with the frame structures dominated by huge and empty elements.

Its own way fascinating to watch as the safety issues were very minor. It very likely that any parent today would refuse to pick up his son on the game full of sharp, exposed iron parts, stairs without any means of rescue. Is still a world to see. A testimony of how even the playing outdoors has been able to interpret the demands of society.
