Tamina Thermal Baths, the Spa Inspired Forest

March 10, 2010 Filed Under: Spa   Tags: , , , ,

Smolenicky & Partners Architects have created the Tamina Thermal Baths, the spa at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.
The visual concept behind these baths, strongly projected upward is that of the trees in the forest: the immense size that can cause feelings that the Romantics called it “sublime” is based on this project with the charm of absolute white and light used so spectacular.
The symmetry of the “trees” of these baths, however, reminds us in some way its thermal baths and temples of the ancients, where the columns were all perfectly spaced and the proportion reigned supreme.
