Stainless steel espresso maker and teapot by Freud

A few days our sinful expensive espresso machine to 35,000 (!) cups of coffee is, unfortunately, died. We are looking for urgent replacement and in the meantime we make do with our small espresso machine that we always take on holiday. This simple and quite beautiful espresso maker I have discovered in Freud. The accompanying...

Trendy colors inspiration: yellow and blue

The Swedish paint manufacturer AlCrO developed recently published new color trends and trend guru Li Edelkoort. Most of my vision color combinations may not be missing here. My top favorite for a simple, modern style: light sand tones (Woods, rats), combined with a deep blue color and a (bright) yellow.

Trend colors 2: Pastels for romantic souls

Pink, sky blue and pistachio green colors are really for romantic souls. But see (used subtly) even in modern, stylish pretty good. Good example: the lockers Mordrobe Matthias Ries with their pastel-colored edge, and the beautiful pottery of Maria Wojdat.

Furnishing ideas: Town House in Sweden

The architectural and design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune from Sweden designed this town house with a pool on the roof. Simple device in the Swedish style, with red accents. The rooftop pool is probably the highlight par excellence.

The special recycled paper, which was used here is called “DuraPulp” and consists of a combination of cellulose and renewable biopolymer. The material is pressed...

Modern kitchen design: La Cucina Alessi

This kitchen island – found spontaneously on Flickr – I liked it immediately. The styling too – so far – a few (large!) pictures on the wall instead of lady in black had been the kitchen for the shoot even better to face. The kitchen island is made of Cucina Alessi Valcucine and distributed.

Ceramic side tables and vase: Apu from period

Apu hot coffee tables with these beautiful ceramic tower. Apu is in Finnish “little helpers” and they are probably. The ceramic surface can be removed and replaced with a ceramic vase or attachment to a ceramic tray – it depends. As many as three together in different heights to see beautifully into a...

Design-oriented interior the Bloom hotel in Brussels

At the temperatures outside get fancy a weekend break. Perhaps time to Brussels? The Hotel Bloom finds – in addition to very reasonable prices – a personalized, design-oriented interior. Particular highlights are the wall paintings created by artists in the rooms. As one can sometimes get a quick idea or how...

House interior design: Clean Chic by Price Harrison

Price Harrison Architect loves the clean lines and the color white in his “Harrison Residence”. A nice idea is the long shelf of individual ceramic pieces and paintings, which serves as a sideboard replacement. Personally, I would bring in more wood with bright colors, so it’s not as “clean”...

Wood furniture: chair softwood by Veronika Wildgruber

They look like thick padded. In fact, the chairs “Soft Wood” by Veronika Wildgruber not textiles, but made entirely of wood. My absolute favorite is the deceptively real “greasy” leather look with a vintage style.
