Wasara: biodegradable dishes from Japan-oriented design. For the first time a collection of beautiful and environmentally sensitive production made entirely from waste fiber and sugarcane bagasse.
Here we go again … sorry for the hiatus was a month or a little difficult. I could never give in nor give up my blog! I take this opportunity to thank all those who have written me and that maybe we were a bit worried:) Now break behind us and we start talking about design, and today, in particular, food design .. definitely my passion! Small morsels of delicacies served in special dishes that emphasize the beauty and why not, even the taste. Everything beautiful and perfect, too bad notes come to the painful end of the evening, when all the doors are only plates, cups and glasses, dirty waste to be allocated to all undifferentiated.
Wasara, together with the group of designers and restaurateurs Shinichiro Ogata, has designed this beautiful table set made entirely from waste fibers from sugar cane and bagasse (sugar cane residue after crushing). What attracts this set is definitely the ecological side of the line and the biodegradability of 100%, but the one that steals a glance is definitely the design, refined and minimalist style in the heart of Japan. No coincidence that the images that do justice to the line are those where the protagonist is Japanese food.
Many of the dishes are made according to ergonomic principles, special dinners, making it ideal for standing, buffets and picnics. But with a design that is perfect for the table every day. A meal in good company, an eye for the environment and a touch of design … what to ask for anything more? Matches them to a few pieces of the set designer Ilan Sinai.
For those interested the set of 12 pieces start at about € 6 and are also available online. I already love them!
