Rambler Socket is the latest idea in the field of electrical outlets. What is so different from the others? An extension built into the outlet.
Before talking about the draft today, I would like to renew my best wishes for this new year started a few days ago that I hope will be filled with news, projects and satisfaction for all.
Among the many reports continue to arrive, many have I mentioned this particular outlet (again I take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful messages that arrive every day!). I must say that at first glance, I was struck because often a bit of extra wire would make life more comfortable.
No sooner said than done. The designer Meysam Movahedi has thus created a new concept of extending the electrical outlet in fact. The idea is simple and effective. Within the electrical outlet, located in an accommodation made in the wall, there is a small skein of yarn ready to escape if necessary. It is enough to exert a little pressure on the two elements on the sides of the socket to access the extra wire. When you no longer need the extra wire just pull it toward you to activate the automatic rewind.
Interesting though I think the project could be unsafe because the electrical wires should not be wrapped on themselves during use due to the Joule (correct me if I’m wrong) that would create an overheating of the wires with dangerous consequences for the health of users. The only way to safely use this outlet would then be rolled out but it always flush, of course, would make little sense, the entire project. What do you think? The project works or is required?
