Trendy-Tub, a barrel handyman Pacific Art Design at Maison & Objet 2010

Of the eight pavilions dedicated to everything that can be defined as “household items”, and beyond, to the Maison & Objet 2010 are considerably pleasant surprises you may encounter: Trendy-Tub, a reality created by Pacific Art Design already some time ago, is one of them.

The idea is simple, but effective and is renewed each season with new designs: these barrels recovered from industrial waste, given new life with imaginative decorations and used primarily in two dimensions (higher and lower) for create an alternative, multi-functional furniture.

I tried to sit on a trendy low-Tub, while on the high scribbled on my laptop: it is certainly not as an ergonomic work station in accordance with, but for brief moments of relaxation is rather convenient.

Trendy-Tub can also be used as a surface, such as bedside, as a support for plants and there is no limit to its uses. Not to mention that may constitute an interesting solution containment. Personalized with their designs, Trendy-Tub is a concrete example of successful design and also sustainable.
