The tableware pop-up Katinka Versendaal

Stems from an ironic contradiction, this series of articles in paper Katinka Versendaal, a young designer from Belgium, graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven. On the one hand the nature of the accessories that are created to be shown on the other hand, the form that will pop up ‘hiding’.

Inspired by Escher, the Versendaal has created this series, on display during the week of Dutch design. A table lamp, two candles and a basket of fruit that fold on themselves if necessary and can be easily moved elsewhere to make room on the surfaces.

In addition to mastery in designing and adapting forms for paper, Katinka Versendaal was still capable of creating beautiful objects. The material diffuses the light nicely and return an interlocking geometric charm.
