
Sergio Rodrigues, founded in 1956 in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro his company “Oca Industries”, because it was felt that there was a lack of identity Brazil. An identity in the furniture culture, a recognition of generations and the international environment.
Rodrigues and his company was the epitome of the Brazilian furniture designs. The architect took over traditional materials such as leather, bamboo and wood of the Jacaranda tree and looked around in his designs to the icons of Brazilian culture. His Armchair “Mole Chair” became world famous, and is one of the permanent collection of design objects in the MOMO in New York to visit.
