The original, historic “Penguin Donkey” of Isokon: conceived by the great modernist designer and architect Egon Riss in 1939, was named for its being advertised by the publishing house and to form ‘a bag’, obtained by bending the plywood. Pocket could accommodate about eighty (those of the format of the Penguin, in fact) and is still proposed by Isokon price of 590 pounds.
This “book” it is a subsidiary of the child, with a seemingly very obvious: add a shelf (actually, not very large) that can find room for a laptop and two magazines are available in four different colors. There is also a limited edition, illustrated by Michelle Garnett. The price is a little lower and is around 495 pounds.
