Cardboard banquet: shows under one roof cardboard

Students, respectively the first and third year the Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge, Tom Emerson and Max Beckenbauer have tried to combine the idea of a functional space, light and modular ancient art of origami and poetic as that.

After having participated in a workshop held by Rentaro Nishimura, famous designer objects made of paper, the two have decided to apply his teachings on the limits in the use of materials, to design a space that housed eighty people inside, using only paper cardboard.

The pavilion was built in three days and are then took several hours to erect the structure. The project was supervised by Rentaro Nishimura and over-explicit intention of teachers and students-was not used any 3D modeling software. Below is a gallery of quick phases.
