The City of Others: Art Museum Berlin

Until 1 May 2011 show students the School of Art in the open air Museum Berlin Weissensee looks at the phenomenon of the city.

Students of visual communication involved in a supervised by Prof. Stefan Koppelkamm term project with the phenomenon of the city in general and Berlin in particular – the one with their own personal city, and second in developments that affect all: the permanent physical and social Changes to plans, visions and conflicts of interest.

In individual projects, students took the test, the view of the media and the city market a “different” view of the city and its residents oppose. The choice of media was there open: The exhibition includes drawings, photographs, films, projections and books.
As diverse as the media used, the different approaches and perspectives. Some students everyday experiences were at the starting point of their work, with others, the city is projected for wishes, fantasies or nightmares.
