Polish Movie Posters
The Polish cinema exhibition in the Polish poster is the next in the series “World in the Polish cinema poster”, the Pigasus – Polish Poster Gallery. Will accompany the film festival filmPOLSKA.
The exhibition of about 50 posters presented both works by famous artists such as Franciszek Starowieyski, Waldemar Swierzy, Jan Lenica, Andrzej Pągowski or Jan Mlodozeniec, as well as the sometimes underrated and Maciej Zbikowski, Jerzy Flisak and Hanna Bodnar.
In addition to posters to hit films by Andrzej Wajda, Kazimierz Kutz and Krzysztof Zanussi and posters will be shown on films, say those titles and names of their creators today only to film historians something and associates of the contemporary audience more with the insistent propaganda of the People’s Republic of Poland. In short: the exhibition is a retrospective of Polish cinema in the poster, the highlights of Polish film history and the dead ends.
